A Unit4 Financial Planning & Analysis Case Study

Preview of the Hamburg Airport Case Study

Hamburg Airport - Customer Case Study

Hamburg Airport, part of the FHG Group with about 1,800 employees, manages more than 400 measures and projects a year worth several hundred million euros across construction, IT, operations and procurement. The airport struggled to keep track of timelines, resource assignments and project prioritization: data lived in multiple subsystems, reporting was manual and error-prone, and decisions were often based on subjective “guesstimates.”

To fix this they implemented Unit4 Financial Planning & Analysis, building a flexible, centralized portfolio tool with a two-stage, criteria-based scoring process (plus a CEO wildcard), electronic workflows and automated reporting. The result: streamlined approvals and budgeting, elimination of manual paperwork (about 400 Word forms/year), push‑button reports, objective project selection and 100% data consistency.
