DFDS - Customer Case Study

DFDS, a Copenhagen‑headquartered shipping and logistics company with about 9,000 employees, set out to digitalize procurement but faced low adoption of its eSourcing tools. Although Unit4 Source‑to‑Contract (S2C) eRFx and eAuction were in place, teams lacked the knowledge and engagement to use them effectively, and COVID disrupted early efforts to scale internal Super Users.

DFDS partnered with Unit4 S2C customer success to build capability—developing Super Users for eRFx, running peer roundtables, and using Fully Managed Events for eAuctions during the pandemic to establish best practices. The approach shortened negotiations from several weeks to around 45 minutes on average, created a more uniform sourcing process, freed up project resources, and delivered ROI through practical learning that will support wider, sustained adoption.
