Swiss Life Germany, a leading finance, pension and insurance provider with about 850 employees and branches in Garching and Hannover, faced growing complexity that spreadsheets could no longer manage for planning and reporting. They needed a secure, auditable and integrated planning solution to replace Excel and consolidate multiple data sources across the organisation.

They implemented Unit4 Financial Planning & Analysis (Prevero) with a dedicated BI team and cost-management divisions, integrating HR, SAP and Navision data, using separate personnel-cost modules, ETL imports and controlled input screens plus hierarchical approvals. The result is a single point of truth used by ~600 users (15 power users), immediate up-to-date reporting, full change traceability, strong user adoption and improved confidence in financial data (internally branded “PRISMA”).
