A Unit4 Financial Planning & Analysis Case Study

Preview of the Save the Children International Case Study

Adaptive operational technology helps change children’s lives

Save the Children International, a global nonprofit of about 25,000 staff operating in 117 countries, faced fragmented, country-based finance systems that limited visibility, accountability and regulatory reporting. The organization needed to reconcile restricted donations through to in-field spending, enforce consistent governance and converge on common finance processes while still meeting diverse local requirements.

SCI standardized on a configurable Unit4 ERP instance across member organizations, delivering an adaptive, connected finance platform with four-level GL coding, automation (including timesheets used by 95% of staff) and local configurability. The solution produced end-to-end traceability from fundraising to program spend, faster and more accurate reporting, stronger control of restricted funds, improved governance, and growing local capability to manage and tailor the system.
