Envel Reduces Time-to-Rule-Creation from Days to One Hour

Envel, a Harvard‑founded, MIT‑backed fintech building the first AI‑based autonomous fintech app, was hampered by a legacy transaction‑monitoring provider that required ticketed rule changes, offered no rule testing or visibility, and took days to implement models. In January 2021 Envel selected Unit21 and onboarded Unit21’s no‑code rules engine and monitoring platform to replace that slow, opaque system.

Unit21 delivered a flexible, fully auditable no‑code rules engine with testing, historic‑data validation, and easy data mapping, which Envel deployed in‑house within weeks. As a result, Unit21 reduced Envel’s rule‑creation time from days to about 1–2 hours, cut alert investigation time from roughly 30 minutes to about 10 minutes, centralized customer data for faster reviews, lowered reliance on data scientists, and improved fraud detection and operational efficiency.
