DSHS, the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, needed to focus more of its resources on serving citizens the way they wanted to interact. Unisys supported this goal with ClearPath Forward private cloud hosting and related advisory, automation, platform implementation, disaster recovery, and network backup services delivered in an as-a-service model.

Unisys implemented a scaled service model that allowed DSHS employees to concentrate on citizen services while Unisys managed the IT environment. The result was improved cost efficiency by avoiding retiree replacement in the managed service, better use of staff resources, and a more scalable budget model for the future.
