Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport needed to expand and modernize its facilities to handle growing passenger volumes. To address this challenge, they engaged with vendor Unisys for a comprehensive IT modernization solution.

Unisys integrated over 20 disparate systems and designed key platforms including an airport operational database and a flight information system. The solution, which involved systems integration for a new terminal, enabled the airport to handle over 30 million passengers annually without disruption to flight or baggage operations.
