Reducing Crimes Through a Secure and Comprehensive Digital National ID Program

Digital National ID Program Company partnered with Unisys to address a major public-safety challenge: protecting the identity of all citizens while reducing kidnapping, crime, and identity duplication or misuse, especially to safeguard children nationwide. To support this effort, Unisys provided its LEIDA™ (Library of Electronic ID Artifacts) framework as part of a digital national ID initiative.

Unisys implemented a children’s ID database that combines iris, fingerprint, and facial biometric data to create a unique identity and integrate with both new and legacy applications. As a result, the program registered and established a secure database for more than 6 million children and created a digital framework designed to strengthen security for 110 million citizens and help reduce crime.
