Providing a Safe and Memorable Experience for World Cup Fans

FIFA World Cup partnered with Unisys to support the 2014 tournament in Brazil, where organizers needed to deliver an exciting fan experience while protecting stadium systems and infrastructure from potential threats. To meet this challenge, Unisys provided infrastructure services for mission-critical operations across the event’s 13 integrated command and control centers.

Unisys implemented field services, maintenance and support, and physical installation services to help run 13 World Cup data centers with high performance and high availability. As a result, officials gained better visibility to manage public safety and security communications, stadium security remained uninterrupted, the fan experience was enhanced, and the infrastructure continued to deliver value after the event through use by state governments.
