Unisys worked with a merger of leading publishing companies that needed to provide customers seamless access to world-class scientific, scholarly, professional, and educational content through a new business entity. The challenge was to unify support across organizations with different focus areas while maintaining service continuity and a consistent experience for an expanded end user base of about 8,000 people.
Unisys implemented End User Services, including Service Desk, Global Field Services, Request Management, and Desktop Management Services, supported by Unisys VantagePoint as the user interface for accessing support. The solution delivered a globally consistent end user experience, improved employee productivity and user experience, shortened resolution times, and reduced support costs while helping the company present a single face to customers.
