Improving the health of New Zealanders through enhanced government services

The New Zealand Ministry of Health worked with Unisys to improve health outcomes by providing better, centralized government services at a reduced cost. The Ministry needed a way to support both existing and new systems while lowering the risk and expense of managing multiple disparate systems and locations.

Unisys implemented Data Center Services, including backup and monitoring, process management, and managed storage for 328 TB of data. As a result, the Ministry increased citizen engagement in health services and improved total cost of ownership by optimizing its IT infrastructure, helping it better support health services for New Zealanders.
