Federated Policing Company, working with Unisys, needed to secure Switzerland’s land borders and support federal policing organizations in deterring national security threats. Unisys addressed this challenge with its Border Security solutions, including biometric technologies for processing entrants and supporting reporting, recording, alarming, investigation, statistics, and control functions for federal border guards.

With Unisys’s border security platform in place, Federated Policing Company arrested 3,000 wanted persons, identified 28,000 customs and legal infringements per year, seized 10,000 kg of drugs and narcotics, and detected 3,000 bogus documents annually. Unisys also helped generate USD 76 million in fines for the Swiss government each year and improved employee productivity through faster access to tools and technologies.
