The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) turned to Unisys to help improve the quality of its core business areas and accelerate its shift toward a more user-driven, engaged, and adaptable organization. The focus was on supporting high-quality trademark and design services, as well as related cooperation, enforcement support, and IP infringement study activities.

Unisys provided Application Services since 2011, including program and project management, architecture design, and technical consultancy across 50+ IT projects. The work helped increase online registrations, modernize the EUIPO website, build a more robust datacenter, secure applications, and simplify search tools for trademarks and designs; results included a harmonized registration process across Europe, stronger cooperation with IP institutions such as WIPO and USPTO, and a modernized IT landscape.
