A Unisys Case Study

Preview of the Board of Airline Representatives New Zealand Case Study

Enhancing the traveling experience and safety of airline passengers

The Board of Airline Representatives New Zealand (BARNZ), representing over 20 international airlines, needed to ensure passengers and baggage traveled together to comply with the Aviation Security Act’s “Triple A” regulations across four airports. To meet this challenge, they partnered with Unisys.

Unisys implemented a cloud-based Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS) that included managed services, handheld scanners, and 24/7 support. This Unisys solution improved security and operational efficiency, significantly reducing lost and mishandled baggage. It also provided real-time visibility into baggage outcomes, ensured ongoing regulatory compliance, and offered the IT scalability to handle increased passenger volumes.
