A Unisys Case Study
NEC worked with Unisys to improve operations across 8,500 corporate- and franchise-owned stores in the US and Canada. The challenge was to keep every location continuously able to sell, order, and receive products while supporting the needs of both corporate and franchise environments.
Unisys implemented Cloud and Infrastructure Services, including a service desk, global field services, ITSM and field dispatch tool integration, and support for POS-related onsite issues and major rollouts. As a result, NEC improved store uptime from 95% to 97%, better prioritized critical incidents affecting down stores, and gained the ability to add new stores more quickly.
