Consolidate Citizen Services Company needed to meet rising citizen expectations for government services that are accessible, interactive, and instantaneous—similar to the experience people get from online businesses. Unisys addressed this challenge by helping the organization consolidate multiple local agency services, including vehicle registration, driving licenses, national ID cards, labor cards, and unemployment insurance, onto a single online platform using ClearPath Forward servers and ClearPath ePortal.

Unisys implemented the solution with ClearPath Forward servers and EMC Storage/Sun (STK) Tape Libraries to support the unified citizen services platform. The result was faster service resolution and improved citizen satisfaction, with the system consistently handling about 60,000 citizen requests, or approximately 2.5 million transactions, per day, while also streamlining information sharing between agencies.
