Case Study: Public Trustee expands trustee services and charitable giving with Unisys Application Services

Delivering trustee services for the western Australian community

The Public Trustee, a Western Australia government trust and estate administration organization, needed to deliver and manage a broad range of trustee services, including legal, financial, asset management, wills, deceased estates, and charitable giving. Unisys supported this mission with Application Services to help maintain and enhance the organization’s core client management system.

With Unisys Application Services, the Public Trustee now manages $1.2 billion in net client assets, around 5,300 active trustee clients, approximately 100,000 registered wills, and about 650 new deceased estates each year. Unisys helped improve accessibility, information sharing, and data validation across multiple sources, while the client base grew by about 13% in 2015–2016 without significant staffing increases, and the launch of the Give2Good Community Foundation has already attracted more than $6 million in promised charitable bequests.
