Command & Control User Support Company needed a way to respond effectively to crime, terrorism, and both planned and unplanned large-scale public events while improving public confidence and controlling costs. Unisys supported the agency’s mission-critical Command & Control applications on the Unisys ClearPath Forward platform, providing the IT infrastructure for live and disaster recovery/service continuity operations.
Unisys developed, supports, maintains, and manages the environment that handles emergency and non-emergency calls, integrated with GIS and multiple external services. The solution increased capacity to more than 15,000 calls per day and around 20,000 during peak emergencies, while minimizing downtime to 10 minutes or less per week.
