Unioncrate worked with a leading CPG brand company in the food and beverage space that had experienced rapid growth and nearly 8X sales expansion, making its manual-heavy forecasting process unsustainable. The company needed to improve internal sales forecast accuracy and reduce WMAPE across company-wide, regional, and SKU-level demand planning.

Unioncrate implemented its AI-powered Integrated Business Planning and demand planning platform, which combined internal sales data, POS data, and other external variables with machine learning models and hybrid collaboration tools for sales, marketing, and finance. From February through August 2020, the company averaged 83% monthly forecast accuracy at the total company level for its 10 top-selling SKUs, reached 93.3% peak forecast accuracy in August, and averaged 79% SKU-level forecast accuracy during the peak COVID-19 months.
