Zaxby’s, the fast‑casual restaurant chain with roughly 20k employees and more than 1.9k corporate and franchise owners across 900+ locations, faced a failing homegrown ASP intranet that limited two‑way communication, left corporate and franchise stores disconnected, and made collaboration and information discovery difficult. To modernize communications and unite corporate and licensee stores under a single platform, Zaxby’s engaged Unily to deliver a cloud‑based, enhanced intranet (ZNET).

Unily designed and launched ZNET as a mobile‑friendly, one‑stop intranet to centralize news, tools, and collaboration for both corporate teams and franchisees. The platform drove strong engagement — about 20k user sessions and 66k page views per month (225k sessions and 816k page views in the past year) — and generated positive employee feedback reporting higher morale, easier communication, and a headache‑free, easy‑to‑use experience.
