McGuckin Hardware, a 56,000 sq. ft. independent hardlines retailer in Boulder, CO, faced a constrained legacy eCommerce platform that listed less than a third of its 125,000 in‑store SKUs and lacked modern features like curbside pickup. Seeking to mirror their in‑store assortment online and rapidly respond to COVID‑era demand, McGuckin turned to Orgill’s dealer network and Unilog for a digital commerce overhaul using Unilog’s cloud‑based eCommerce solution and access to the Orgill Industry PIM.

Unilog implemented a unified eCommerce platform with a daily‑maintained product catalog and enrichment (about 80,000 SKUs, ~95% of in‑store items), integrated tax and ERP connectivity, added curbside pickup, a mobile app, messaging and the FanBuilder™ loyalty program. The result: web traffic more than doubled year‑over‑year and web sales jumped 1,320% in the first month (sustaining over 1,000% growth later), online AOV rose 34% (in‑store AOV +23%), and McGuckin gained nearly 80,000 Rewards members after Unilog’s implementation.
