Hill & Markes, Inc., a third-generation distributor of foodservice disposables, janitorial and office supplies based in Amsterdam, NY, faced a legacy website that lacked accurate product content and taxonomy, missing images and descriptions, was not mobile-responsive, and couldn’t support punchout or integrate cleanly with their Infor SX.e ERP. To address these gaps and remain manageable by a very small eCommerce team, Hill & Markes evaluated and selected Unilog and its CIMM2 eCommerce platform and content services.

Unilog implemented CIMM2 plus its content enrichment and PIM/CMS services, delivering responsive design, ERP integration, punchout support and custom tools like My Items, Multi-Level Approver and a budgeting feature in beta. The enriched product data and reorganized taxonomy improved findability and conversions; within a year Hill & Markes saw a 65% increase in users ordering online, a 60% rise in registered accounts and an 11% lift in online revenue, with the site on track to drive roughly 25% of total revenue—results attributed to Unilog’s platform and services.
