Airgas Inc., a leading single‑source supplier of gases, welding equipment and safety products, needed to massively expand and enrich its online hardgoods catalog—adding images, specs, technical documents and standardized attributes rather than just titles and descriptions. After attempting the work in‑house, Airgas engaged Unilog (Unilog Content Solutions) to categorize and scale enrichment across tens of thousands of SKUs to support better online buying decisions.
Unilog categorized and enriched more than 150,000 SKUs, developed category schemas and normalized product data, and built a widget that cut an eight‑hour MDM upload process to 15 minutes. As a result, Airgas Inc. expanded its online hardgoods assortment from about 35,000 to over 145,000 SKUs, saw roughly 40,000 newly sellable products drive more than $7 million in incremental revenue, doubled user registrations, and achieved 32% higher average online transaction value—outcomes enabled by Unilog’s solutions.
