Case Study: Associated Press achieves flexible live news delivery with Uniguest Tripleplay IPTV

A Uniguest Case Study

Preview of the Associated Press Case Study

The Associated Press stays on the pulse with IPTV platform

The Associated Press (AP), an independent global news cooperative, required a new solution to distribute hundreds of live TV and news channels throughout its new New York headquarters. Their challenge was to deliver this high volume of video content to journalists' desktops and office screens securely over their IP network, avoiding the high cost and complexity of a traditional coaxial cable installation. They turned to the vendor, Tripleplay, for an IPTV and digital signage platform.

Tripleplay implemented a software-based solution that allowed AP to efficiently stream content over its existing network. The solution included the Media Video Player (MVP) desktop application, enabling journalists to view up to nine simultaneous live channels. Tripleplay's unique Multiview functionality also allowed three separate live streams to be displayed on single vertical screens, significantly reducing hardware costs. The results included superior service quality, streamlined communications via integrated digital signage, and a scalable platform for future global expansion.
