St. James Quarter Digital Signage and Wayfinding Supports Sustainability Targets

St James Quarter, a large retail and lifestyle district in Edinburgh, needed a digital solution to help visitors navigate its expansive 1.7 million square foot space. Their challenge also included enhancing the modern ambiance and supporting their sustainability goals by reducing physical printed materials. They partnered with Uniguest, using their ONELAN digital signage and content management system (CMS), for this implementation.

The solution from Uniguest involved deploying almost 180 digital screens, including wayfinding kiosks and in-store displays powered by a central CMS. This allowed for easy, sustainable content updates and provided valuable advertising space for retailers. The implementation successfully improved navigation for visitors, reduced the need for physical print, and delivered significant insight and return on investment through proof of play reporting for advertisers.
