IP Video and Digital Signage create compelling experience at Bahrain International Airport
Bahrain International Airport required a new reliable and scalable IPTV and digital signage system for its new, much larger passenger terminal. The challenge was to provide information and entertainment to passengers and support the airport's modernization program. To meet this need, the airport worked with vendor Uniguest through its partner Mindstec.
Uniguest implemented an extensive solution using its MediaStar decoders, IP gateways, and encoders. The system, managed by MediaStar Media Manager and an iVOD server, distributes live TV, digital signage, flight information, and video on demand throughout the terminal. The result is an integral passenger experience that provides entertainment, vital travel updates, and new advertising opportunities for the airport.
