Replacing a Legacy ERP Application Made Easy with Uniface

Helleniczeus S.A. is a family-run destination management company in Crete that organizes transfers, excursions and hotel bookings for large tour operators, handling thousands of passengers and complex catalogues during peak season. The company’s legacy .NET ERP was hard to change, required external projects for updates, and constrained growth — so Helleniczeus needed a robust, cost-effective platform that let it adapt quickly and keep mission-critical systems highly available.

Helleniczeus replaced the old system with a hybrid Uniface solution: Logisoft’s Cube ERP for accounting plus a bespoke in-house Uniface system called Zenix. Two developers built the core functionality in seven months, integrating systems via a communications module and adding browser-based screens for partners and staff. The result: faster feature delivery (examples include a three-day survey tool), improved user experience, reliable 12–13 hour daily availability through peak season, lower server load (memory usage cut from 32 GB to 9 GB), high throughput, reduced IT cost and future-proof flexibility to change databases or extend to web/mobile.
