Productively Building an Enterprise Mobile App with Uniface

Human Capital Co. Ltd, a Tokyo-based IT services firm founded in 1974 with about 120 staff, needed a new enterprise mobile app to replace paper-based sales activity logging and to identify a productive development environment for client work. The app had to let salespeople record visits, view customer info and maps, and integrate with existing attendance systems while running smoothly on smartphones and tablets.

They chose Uniface and used its model-driven, HTML5-capable tooling to build the app. A single developer with limited Uniface experience delivered a fully tested app in 21 days (about 45% of the 47 days taken to build the same app in Java), using roughly 1,800 lines of code versus 2,300 for Java (≈75%).
