Modernization of ERP Software with Uniface

Proges-Plus, a French software vendor, needed to modernize its flagship Synoptic-ERP system to meet changing user expectations, replace an outdated GUI, and keep customers from switching to competitors. The company chose Uniface as the development platform because it supported a graphical environment, component reuse, and technology independence for their long-running ERP product.

Using Uniface, Proges-Plus migrated about 2,000 standard screens to a modern GUI, added Outlook and database integrations, and used Unicode to roll out language versions quickly. The result was an improved user experience across the application, with customer expectations exceeded, one at-risk customer retained, and additional commercial value created through paid customization and upgrade services.
