Cooper Standard, a global supplier of automotive systems and components, struggled with fragmented R&D data: chemists across regions tracked ingredients, recipes and experiment history in disparate Excel sheets and outdated local tools. To unify its materials knowledge base and reduce repetitive work, Cooper Standard selected the Uncountable Platform as a single lab informatics solution.

Uncountable implemented a connected workspace—configured and live within about six weeks with only half a dedicated Cooper Standard resource—standardizing raw materials, recipes, experiment records and permissions while enabling SAP price lookups and plant-specific workflows. The Uncountable deployment cut time spent hunting and reconciling data (previously over 50% of researcher time), freed at least four hours per week per chemist, sped access to exports and analytics to “two clicks,” and supported consolidation and smarter sourcing across 1,000+ materials.
