How Bajaj Increased Conversions Using Measurement Search

Bajaj Mall, the online electronics marketplace of Bajaj Finserv with 35k+ merchants and 100k+ SKUs, faced poor relevance and increased zero‑result or irrelevant listings for long‑tail queries that included measurement attributes (about 10–16% of queries). To address this, Bajaj Mall partnered with Netcore Unbxd and adopted its Measurement Search capability within Unbxd’s search and product discovery platform to better interpret price, size and other alphanumeric measurement intents.

Netcore Unbxd implemented Measurement Search—an NER‑based solution that performs unit and symbol normalization, range understanding and user‑defined tolerance—to translate queries like “25 cm mattress” or “refrigerators under 20,000” into catalog‑matching results. As a result, Bajaj Mall increased conversions on the measurement‑query segment by 26.69% and saw per‑search revenue rise 9.15%, while reducing zero‑result queries and improving overall on‑site product discovery.
