AstraZeneca, a multinational biopharmaceutical company, needed to unify the communications and collaboration systems used by its global workforce across more than 40 countries. The company wanted to replace hundreds of fragmented portals and simplify content publishing across devices, so it turned to Unbound’s OrchestraCMS.
Unbound implemented a new global intranet called Nucleus, built natively on Salesforce and powered by OrchestraCMS, to consolidate six legacy intranets, support content in 10 languages, and enable real-time collaboration and social interaction through Salesforce Chatter. The result was a 68% increase in employee engagement, 89% annual cost savings, and a 56% increase in productivity, while also making it easier for content owners to publish timely updates without IT support.
