Rockport, the footwear retailer, made mobile commerce a priority as an increasing share of customers began shopping from smartphones. The challenge was to deliver a purpose-built mobile experience that still leveraged their Demandware ecommerce engine so mobile users could access the same features and purchase flow as desktop shoppers.

Using Unbound’s platform with an API-integrated mobile site connected to Demandware, Rockport deployed mobile-optimized landing pages and social campaign funnels that drove seamless conversions. The results were dramatic: Black Friday–Cyber Monday 2015 mobile revenue rose 124.80% year over year, Christmas weekend mobile page views jumped 60.61%, bounce rate fell 16.22%, unique mobile users increased 40.11%, pages per user rose 15.71%, and total 2015 mobile commerce revenue climbed 434% over 2014, with revenue growth outpacing user growth indicating more repeat buying.
