Luxmart, a 20-year specialist in luxury mobile accessories, relied on BigCommerce and saw more than 85% of its traffic come from mobile devices. As new features accumulated the mobile site slowed, producing a subpar experience and low mobile conversion rates (about 0.6%), so improving mobile performance became a priority.
Unbound redesigned and converted Luxmart’s mobile storefront into a Progressive Web App—using service workers, on-device caching and automatic mobile redirection—integrated with the existing ecommerce platform. The result: page-speed and PWA compliance jumped (Google Performance 99, PWA score 100) and mobile conversions rose from 0.6% to 1.24% in the first 30 days and have since peaked at 3.1%, an average lift approaching 4x.
