Finish Line, a $1.2B athletic footwear and apparel retailer with more than 660 stores and an online presence, became an early adopter of mobile in 2010. Leadership saw mobile as an omni‑channel enabler—helping stores, the call center and desktop sales—but faced the technical challenge of delivering a purpose‑built mobile experience that leveraged existing e‑commerce systems (Endeca and ATG) without rebuilding their stack.

Finish Line selected Unbound Commerce’s Mobile Presence platform, deployed on their own servers with Unbound providing maintenance and support, enabling integration with core systems without in‑house mobile development. The mobile site tripled mobile usage to 14% of traffic, drove in‑store visits and ~2,000 call‑center calls per week, and after five major enhancements (including a 3Q2013 redesign) saw conversion rates double.
