New Invoice and Payment Tools Pay Off Big for Gilmore & Associates

Gilmore & Associates (G&A) is a 102‑year‑old regional civil engineering and consulting firm (175 employees across seven offices) that serves mainly municipal clients. The firm struggled with slow, paper-driven collections and administrative bottlenecks: most clients paid by mailed check, there was no central payment portal or visibility into invoice engagement, and invoice reminders and follow‑ups were manual and inconsistent.

In June 2020 G&A implemented Unanet AR Automation (integrated with Unanet A/E and Stripe) to enable automated invoice email delivery, tracking, automated reminders with embedded “Pay Now” links, and an online payment portal for ACH and card payments.
