J. B. Henderson Construction Company (JBH), a 300+ employee general contractor founded in 1959, struggled with siloed project and financial data that made RFP/RFQ responses and routine reporting slow and labor-intensive. Inconsistent project naming and the need for finance to generate bespoke reports forced marketers and proposal teams to spend hours on data mining—sometimes 3–5 hours per proposal—delaying responses and tying up staff time.
By integrating Unanet CRM (by Cosential) with Vista via the Financial Data Connector, JBH created synchronized project records, phonetic/proximity search, and a single pane of financial and schedule information so non-finance staff can self-serve data. The integration cut schedule-information retrieval by about 3 hours per proposal on average, eliminated many ad hoc report requests to finance, broke down departmental silos, and enabled faster, more accurate RFP responses and reporting.
