Trinity Leeds boosts footfall 2.4% with Umpf's bike-on-the-roof PR stunt

Trinity Leeds, a shopping centre, sought to capitalize on the massive publicity surrounding the annual Tour de Yorkshire cycling race. To achieve this, they partnered with the agency Umpf, which proposed a high-impact PR stunt as the solution.

Umpf implemented a striking visual stunt by installing a giant 31-meter yellow bike on the centre's glass dome. This initiative generated extensive media coverage across television, radio, print, and online platforms, resulting in a media reach of 29.3 million. Most importantly, the campaign led to a 2.4% increase in footfall for Trinity Leeds and earned Umpf the 'PR Stunt of the Year' award.
