A Umpf Case Study
The customer, Clarks Village Shopping Outlet, tasked Umpf with creating a rapid, footfall-driving PR stunt. The challenge was to capitalize on the potential victory of local Formula 1 driver Lando Norris in the world championship, an event with no guaranteed outcome that required a fast-turnaround campaign planned in advance.
Umpf executed a PR stunt by renaming a pedestrianized street at the outlet "Lando Lane" immediately after Norris won. The solution included designing a street sign and rebranding kiddy cars. The campaign secured over 150 pieces of coverage, including a live BBC News broadcast, achieving an overall reach of 70 million. The vendor, Umpf, successfully generated significant national and local media attention for the client.
