Trex, the world’s largest manufacturer of wood-alternative decking products, was managing 32 public websites on an expensive, inflexible CMS that required IT intervention for simple content updates. To reduce costs and improve agility, Trex selected the Umbraco CMS and engaged Marathon Consulting to lead the migration and implementation.

Marathon Consulting built a high-availability architecture, provisioned servers, developed two starter sites (domestic and international), migrated all 32 sites into Umbraco, integrated Salesforce Sales Cloud, and replaced the Google Search Appliance with Umbraco Examine. The Umbraco deployment was completed on time and under budget, decreased global website maintenance time, and passed system, load, and user acceptance testing before production rollout.
