Cumberland Farms, a large US convenience-store chain, was stuck with a poorly implemented Umbraco site that left its marketing team unable to update products, publish landing pages, or run campaigns (image uploads could take up to two days). The company engaged Scandia to assess and fix their Umbraco CMS implementation, infrastructure and content architecture so the team could manage day‑to‑day marketing needs and support new features like in‑store nutrition info and HyperFreeze campaign pages.
Scandia performed an in‑depth assessment of Azure, caching, SEO and the non‑standard Umbraco document types, then re‑architected and stabilized the Umbraco implementation, built a nutrition portal and revamped campaign pages. As a result, Cumberland Farms’ marketing team is now self‑sufficient, image delays were eliminated, campaigns and new features are delivered far more quickly, and ongoing improvements are supported via a Scandia retainer — all based on the upgraded Umbraco platform.
