The Agency for Digitisation - Customer Case Study

The Agency for Digitisation, part of Denmark’s Ministry of Finance driving public‑sector digital transformation, needed a modern, accessible and easy‑to‑deploy public information website. The project used Umbraco—implemented via Berti’s GoBasic modular extension built on top of Umbraco—to deliver a controlled hosted solution with a configurable stylesheet for rapid, standardized site launches.

The vendor implemented a hosted GoBasic instance (staged by the Agency for Governmental IT Services) with an automated hosting setup that can spin up new site instances in seconds, a custom drag‑and‑drop grid editor enabled by Umbraco’s open API, and a base stylesheet adjustable through 34 variables. The result was accessibility and cookie‑compliance, onboarding of new clients in days, dramatic cost reductions (theoretically down to 0 kroner), and wide adoption—GoBasic (on Umbraco) now powers 100+ public sites and has enabled multiple successful government launches.
