Sanistaal, one of Denmark’s largest suppliers to the construction and manufacturing industries, faced a highly complex e‑business challenge: over 130,000 items, unique pricing for 25,000+ customers, full stock visibility across warehouses and stores, and a need to deliver flexible, user‑centric services across all digital channels. To meet this need Sanistaal engaged agency Vertica to build a solution using the Umbraco CMS as the foundation, ensuring the platform could integrate in real time with existing ERP and PIM systems while remaining easy to manage and extend.

Vertica implemented a best‑of‑breed platform centered on Umbraco, integrating Perfion and Hybris PIM, AS/400 and SAP ERP, Elastic Search, recommendation and email engines, Commerce Server and a service‑based integration layer, plus a mobile‑first responsive frontend. The Umbraco‑based solution delivered measurable impact: bounce rate down 23%, revenue up 26%, total page views up 23%, mobile sessions up 32% and mobile conversions tripled; the project also won Sanistaal the Best Technical Solution at the Umbraco Awards 2017.
