DBU (Danish Football Association) needed to provide hundreds of member clubs with easy-to-use, flexible and low-cost websites while keeping administration simple for many content editors and allowing DBU to roll out new features based on club feedback. The Klub‑CMS program was built on Umbraco technology (Umbraco Cloud) to deliver templated, modular sites at scale, with implementation support from Gold Partner SportsSys.

Umbraco Cloud is the cornerstone of the Klub‑CMS setup: using a single codebase and BaselineFlow efficiencies, DBU and SportsSys created modular back‑office building blocks, integrated external data via web services, and extended the membership provider for streamlined logins. The result with Umbraco is a smooth migration to the new system and large‑scale delivery — DBU reached its target of 400 clubs on Klub‑CMS (maintaining hundreds of club sites) and can deploy new functionality to all sites in one go.
