Danish Crown, a multinational meat processor, needed to replace a proprietary CMS and launch a fresh, responsive corporate website serving farmers, commercial customers and consumers. They chose Umbraco as the open-source platform—leveraging Umbraco as a headless CMS—building on their prior positive experience with Umbraco for the group intranet.

Using Umbraco, Skybrud.dk implemented the site as a Single Page Application on top of Umbraco’s headless APIs, creating 4–5 endpoints to separate backend data concerns from front-end markup. The Umbraco-based solution delivered faster data transfer, improved developer workflows, a modern responsive design and a standout recipe section that extracts image primary colors to boost UX.
