Country Choice, the UK's leading supplier of in‑store bakery and retail foodservice products, needed a complete website rebuild to replace its legacy system and better serve a vast B2B customer base. The project centered on implementing Umbraco CMS as the core platform, with Visarc acting as lead digital agency to deliver a new front end and multiple custom integrations to meet complex business and data requirements.

Using Umbraco, the team delivered a fast, modern site with a bespoke PIM integration (eList), a promotions scheduler, a Customer Zone with eLearning and SEL ordering, and secure membership migration — all tied into existing SAP feeds. Post‑launch (Jan 2018 vs Jan 2019) Country Choice saw an 11% uplift in sessions, a 9.65% increase in new users, pages per session up 6.72%, session duration up 7.32% and bounce rate down 19.40%, demonstrating Umbraco’s role in improving engagement and operational efficiency.
