Building both website and webshop under a tight deadline

DOT (Din Offentlige Transport) is a joint service run by Movia, DSB and Metroselskabet that needed a single online entry point for customer service, ticketing and travel information. Facing tight timelines and the need to replace an outdated webshop with complex pricing and product changes, DOT chose Umbraco (Umbraco CMS) to consolidate features from three separate sites into one shared platform and to redevelop the webshop.

Kruso implemented the solution using Umbraco CMS, integrating uCommerce for e‑commerce and a Navision ERP backend, and delivering the webshop with an agile process. The project launched on schedule and on budget—webshop delivered in 12 weeks—and produced a responsive, user‑friendly self‑service site that integrates external services (like Rejseplanen), lets customers buy tickets from all three providers in one shop, implements a new regional pricing structure, and significantly improved usability for both editors and end users thanks to Umbraco.
