The customer, MGE Engineering, faced the challenge of modifying the historic Glendale-Hyperion Viaduct Complex to correct deficiencies and meet modern standards. Ultrasystems Environmental was engaged to provide comprehensive environmental services for this complex City of Los Angeles and Caltrans project.

Ultrasystems prepared a wide range of environmental documentation, including a revised natural environment study, a visual impact assessment, and a combined initial study. A key result was that their air quality conformity analysis was approved without comment by the Federal Highway Administration, successfully meeting both CEQA and NEPA requirements for the project.
