A Ultrasystems Environmental Case Study
The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works (LACDPW) faced the challenge of reconstructing a 9.59-mile stretch of Pine Canyon Road, a project requiring careful assessment of cultural and biological resources. Ultrasystems Environmental was engaged to provide essential environmental and archaeological review services for this infrastructure upgrade.
Ultrasystems conducted a comprehensive cultural resources review, including a literature search at the South Central Coastal Information Center and consultation with the Native American Heritage Commission. The vendor identified six previously recorded archaeological sites within the project area and confirmed that there were no Native American Sacred Lands present, thereby facilitating the necessary regulatory compliance for the road reconstruction project to proceed.
