A Ultrasystems Environmental Case Study
The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works (LACDPW) proposed to build a new nature center in a residential area with significant environmental constraints, including its location in an earthquake fault zone and near an oil field. They engaged Ultrasystems to provide environmental consulting services, specifically to prepare an Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) to meet California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requirements.
Ultrasystems conducted comprehensive technical studies to assess potential impacts and developed a Mitigated Negative Declaration with a robust Mitigation and Monitoring Program. Each potentially significant environmental impact was successfully reduced to a less-than-significant level through proposed measures. Ultrasystems presented these findings to the community, addressed concerns, and gained approval from LACDPW for the IS/MND.
